Alicia It's that notion that I'm actually going to write something up and in the end...it's just short and quick.
Chris Rocks: We don't have much in the way of on our home turf. I just 'embrace' them when I'm out of state. Do you have rocks like Ouachita?
Syd: Thanks I'm looking forward to this one. I like the race and the course. Well run and fun.
Rachel: I almost swapped the graphics out to blue this year. Thanks. I'm SUPER happy to be racing CX again and to be doing it w/o any broken bones this year! Good racing to you in Ohio this weekend (if you're going).
I have never been there, but Austin sits on what seems to be a giant rock. I only have about 4 inches of soil in my yard and then solid rock. When they put swimming pools in here, they have to use a giant jack hammer to make the hole. It takes a few weeks.
These are awesome shots. I had a hard time finding images that really capture those 2 "crawl ups" but these are perfect. I think it was your teammate, Paula, who sure put it all in perspective the first few miles of the race when she said that there was no place better to be. Also, I very much enjoyed my first Centennial IPA so tell you sponsor they have a new customer!

IPA is the best. It's great here as a number of the teams have breweries for sponsors. The west side CX series is all about racing for Founders beer.
Glad you liked it.
Rick, who took those pics, is the organizer of the great CX beer races.
If you ever get to Michigan for CX....we'll get you set up.
